It can be made Paleo and Whole 30 by omitting the honey.

It can be made Vegan by changing the honey to regular sugar.

Oh yes. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to one week.

hot water—almost but doesn’t have to be boiling

regular size black tea bags– If you prefer decaffeinated tea or even green tea, use whatever you prefer. Green tea is usually a milder flavor so you may need to play with how long you steep or how much water you add.

honey—any sweetener can be substituted if you prefer a different one or to make this vegan

orange juice—fresh squeezed is best or if using purchased juice, concentrated is best

How to Make Orange Honey Iced Tea

Steep tea bags in hot water for 15-20 minutes.

Squeeze out tea bags and remove from water.

Add honey and stir to dissolve.

Add orange juice and stir gently.

Allow to cool.

Pour over plenty of ice. The ice will dilute the tea some and that is expected. We made it extra strong so we could do that.

Orange Honey Iced Tea

Orange Honey Iced Tea is easy to make but seems like an extravagant treat! A few ingredients and 30 minutes and you will be sipping sweet refreshment!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups hot water
  • 2 regular size black tea bags
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 cups ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Heat water to very hot. It. does not need to be boiling but close.
  2. Steep tea bags in hot water for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Squeeze out tea bags and remove from water. Use 2 spoons so you don’t burn your fingers.
  4. Add honey and stir to dissolve.
  5. Add orange juice and stir gently.
  6. Allow to cool.
  7. Pour over plenty of ice. The ice will dilute the tea some and that is expected. We made it extra strong so we could do that.

Notes

Honey is to taste. We use local honey that tends to be flavorful and sweet. If yours is not as sweet or you enjoy sweeter tea, feel free to add more.

Fresh squeezed orange juice is best. If you use store bought, not from concentrate is best.
