Are you here but wondering what the “Why” IS behind Easter?

According to the Bible, God’s Word, Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus after His crucifixion.

Why was Jesus crucified?

Jesus was crucified to pay the price for our sins. The price for sin is death (and God means eternal, spiritual death here, not physical death) but God gave us the gift of eternal life through Jesus. Romans 6:23

Who is a sinner?

Even if we are not a terrible sinner or worse than others around us, if we have committed just one sin, we are a sinner. “There is no one righteous, no, not one.” Romans 3:10

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

If we claim that we haven’t sinned, we are fooling ourselves and we are a liar; plain and simple: “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.” BUT “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:8-9

Jesus is the only way to Heaven.

Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6

All we need to do to get to Heaven is to Believe and Confess. Jesus did all of the work on the cross.

If we confess that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. Romans 10:9

For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13
