What to serve with Crab Topped Fish
I always make rice or couscous and a vegetable with it. It is our very favorite way to eat fish.
We also think it is great with Roasted Parmesan Asparagus or Simple Sautéed Squash, depending on the season.
It is served here with Zucchini Noodles Parmesan.
Ingredients:
(Full printable ingredients and instructions are just below.)
fish fillets
crabmeat drained and flaked
grated Parmesan cheese (affiliate link)
mayonnaise (affiliate link)
lemon juice (affiliate link)
paprika (affiliate link)
Instructions:
Place fish in a greased baking dish and bake, uncovered, in a preheated 350* oven, for 18-22 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Time will vary with type of fish used.
Drain extra cooking juices from baking pan. Spread crab mixture over fish.
Broil 5 inches from heat for about 5 minutes or until topping is lightly browned. **Please note that it is not safe to broil in a Pyrex or glass dish–IT COULD SHATTER! I just recently learned this thanks to a kind reader and will not do it anymore. If you want the cheese toasted, use a broiler safe pan to do this step.
If you do not want to broil, you could also just continue to bake the fish for another 5 minutes or so to warm it through.
Sprinkle with paprika (affiliate link) and serve.
