The whipped cream:

I used Great Value Extra Creamy Dairy Whipped Topping but use any kind you like. The kind in a can is the easiest to make a dollop on the eggs. You could also make homemade whipped cream and add it to the eggs with a spoon if you would rather.

Could I use sugar free Jell-O?:

Yes! You can use sugar free Jell-O with exactly the same directions. If you look at my post for Sugar Free Deviled Jell-O Eggs, it has specifics that may be helpful. I made some for Easter and they were great!

Sadly, not all colors are available in sugar free. I used cherry, black cherry, orange and lime for Easter, cherry and lime for Christmas and black cherry and orange for Halloween. I have found peach, raspberry and lemon at other times but could not find the lemon when I wanted to do the Easter colors. It would be nice if they would make grape and blue raspberry to give us purple and blue colors but haven’t found them yet.

Can I make St. Patrick’s Day Deviled Jell-O Eggs Ahead of time?

The Jell-O eggs can be made a day or so ahead but don’t put the whipped cream on until the last minute.

Can I freeze Deviled Jell-O Eggs?

No, Jell-O does not freeze well.

Where to find the Deviled Egg Molds:

I got mine at Dollar Tree. Many stores carry them around Easter or you can find them on Amazon most any time. If you have very nice ones, make sure the Jell-O won’t stain them.

St. Patrick’s Day Deviled Jell-O Eggs

Yield; about 16 half eggs for each packet of Jell-O

Notes:

Yield could vary if molds are slightly different size than mine. I did have just a little bit of Jell-O left after filling each of my mold containers so just put it in a small cup.

If you have a plastic container, especially if it is a thin plastic, you may want to let the Jell-O cool slightly before pouring it into the mold so it doesn’t crack it.
